A family estate located in one of the highest points in West Sussex, consisted of a tired main house, an unused outdoor pool and a number of dilapidated barns. A brief was given for sensitive remodelling of the main dwelling, new swimming and spa facilities, new roads and services, change of use and refurbishment of estate buildings, and extensive landscaping. The main house was completely refurbished and extended. Layouts were reconfigured to create modern bathrooms and terraces, a new portico and rationalised drive approach added prominence to the front elevation. A new orangery design accommodating a truly stunning dinning space, formed an extension to the existing kitchen.

A new indoor diving and swimming pool with hydrotherapy, spa, sauna and changing facilities was designed to maximise the spectacular views and blend into the surrounding landscape. Level changes, frameless glazing and a weir along its length provide uninterrupted views from the pool while the green roof construction forms an extensive terrace to the existing house above. Bespoke contemporary detailing to glass, wood and stone achieves a minimalist look.
